Reflection: I chose this artist because I had an experience recently with some of the trends and works she has inspired. The other week I had made plans to go to a local event to make little glass terrariums like the ones Paula Hayes creates. It was interesting to see the original artist behind this trend that is now widely available for others to do. I really enjoyed her use of the interconnectedness of industrial and natural elements. The first piece here with the large terrariums is very interesting, I really like the organic shapes of her pieces. I don't have experience with glass work, but I do want to potentially incorporate the man made objects in contrast with nature and landscape.
